Matthew Brimer has 9 years experience with SQL Server, 3 of which was spent as a Database Security expert for a Department of Defense Agency. Matt also holds several Security and Microsoft Certifications, is the President of OKC SQL PASS Chapter and is the former Event Chair for SQL Saturday Oklahoma City.

The title for the talk is Encryption from top to bottom and will cover:

I, like most of you, have to deal with security of some sort. Often this is due to governmental regulations or maybe it's a directive from on high to make sure your data is secured. In this session we will talk about one aspect of meeting Confidentiality requirements in the InfoSec CIA Triad, through encryption. We will talk about Certificates, keys and then do demo's on Column, Database and Instance level encryption and get into some masking as well. When: Monday, September. 14th Time: 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.
